Waving the white flag chasing MotoGP World champion 2019, Rossi: Impossible to win

Yamaha driver Valentino Rossi has flown the white flag to hunt the title of World MotoGP 2019.

The Doctor now has a fifth position with a value of 72 points. Lagging 68 points from the Honda racer, Marc Marquez, at the top of the standings.

Although there are still 12 remaining series and MotoGP has not entered the part of the season, Rossi chose to be realistic related to his chances of being a world champion.

"Unfortunately, we have slipped in the world champion's hunt and it is quite impossible to win it," said Rossi.

However, Rossi insists there is still a mission to be carried by him and Yamaha in the rest of the season.

"We will concentration to end the season by getting as many podium as we can afford. We also keep trying to stare into the future and prepare for the next season,  "Rossi said.

Rossi's choice to be realistic in the 2019 MotoGP world title hunt is quite precise when it looks at the performance of Marquez in MotoGP 2019 so far.

Marquez won four wins plus two runners up in seven MotoGP series. Marquez only once failed to earn points, namely in the MotoGP United States.

Meanwhile Rossi was only twice on the podium in MotoGP 2019, where he was runner up in Argentina and the United States.
